House Of Vans KL 2017: If You Didn’t Know A Fakie Switch

8

If you didn’t notice, Saturday, Kuala Lumpur, all the skaters were busy. “Oh, yeah,” you ask?!? “Totally,” response. The real deal stepped into town to drop some history on that independent street vibe that bridged hella gaps. Cali was in town, if not fully, at least in corporate spirit. Yes, House Of Vans Kuala Lumpur dropped and brought the heat. You lost out seeking the same old shopping mall played out air-cons.

The “original” action sports brand rooted in art, music and street culture spent Saturday,
September 9th of 2017 in the exclusive venue of APW Bangsar. For those not in the know, when you come from a family that happens to own some valuable real estate, and you don’t do anything innovative with it, you’re not involved with developing creative hubs. Check their website to read “we are a creative industrial space located in the heart of Bangsar.” Says a lot by not saying much, right?! Well, the location is uncontestable and the crowd suggests they’re delivering on much more. This small repurposed industrial location was the source of human chaos at Jalan Riong brought to you via the California marketed original, Vans. A day filled with skating and pulling tricks before a massive crowd is most of our dreams. That turned out to be only a highlight alongside scheduled workshops with Anni Tai on embroidery and Dirty Donuts on the silk screens. If you only came to consume, no worries, sound and visuals were blasting aplenty along side special performances from Hujan, Dirgehay and Zamaera. WHAT? You totally missed out?!? Come on, get with it!! Start following Rip It Up and get to know about the current hap’s around KL and beyond!
