Making its highly anticipated comeback as one of the most revered AJ silhouettes of all-time, the Air Jordan 3 OG “Black Cement” is slated for an early 2018 release to kick-off its 30th Anniversary.
Starting this milestone celebration with the original design that debuted in 1988, is undoubtedly fitting. The same year the “Black Cement” 3’s released was also the year Michael Jordan clenched the 97/98 season MVP title. Throughout the years since its debut, the sneaker world has seen re-releases in 1994, 2001, 2008 and most recently 2011. 30 years on and it has not only remained one of our favourites but also MJ himself.
This upcoming reiteration will see the classic sport it’s original look with its black leather base, Cement Grey accents, as well as White and Fire Red detailing sprinkled throughout. Jordan Brand has also decided to continue to complete the Air Jordan 3 looks with the original “Nike Air” branding on the heel and outsole.
The prized Air Jordan 3 Retro OG “Black Cement” is believed to drop February 17th, during All-Star Weekend at Jordan retailers for a price of $200 USD (RM 838) a pair.
